BC Hockey has extended the deadline for applications to participate in the 2010 Female U16 Zone Camps. The new deadline to submit an application is December 13, 2009. There will be one (1) camp for each Zone. The camps will be used to instruct and evaluate players for their possible selection to represent their Zone at the 2010 BC Winter Games in Terrace, BC from March 4-8, 2010.
Eligibility:

Players born in 1995-96 are eligible for the 2009-10 BC Hockey Female U16 Program.

Players must be members of BC Hockey.

Players must be evaluated on-ice at the Zone Camp to be eligible for selection to represent their zone at the 2010 Winter Games.
Program Steps:

Zone Camps – One camp for each of BC’s Zone (selection camp fee – $200 plus tax). Date: January 2-3, 2010 (Note: could vary by zone).

Zone Selections – Athletes (18 players and two (2) goaltenders) selected from the Zone Camps will prepare for competition.

BC Winter Games – 20 players from each zone compete.
Cancellation Policy:
There shall be a fifty percent refund of a registration fee to any participant who cancels their attendance more than 15 days prior to a BC Hockey Sanctioned Event and there shall be no refund for a registration fee for any cancellation less than 15 days prior to the BC Hockey Sanctioned Event.
The Under 16 programs play an integral role in the development of BC Hockey’s elite level players. Although these camps are identification/tryout camps it is important to note that player development is the primary focus of the program. This forum is to educate and prepare players for elite level hockey, the BC Hockey High Performance program leads into the Hockey Canada Program of Excellence.
