BC Hockey announced November 10, 2010 that Reaghan Chadwick (Port Coquitlam, BC) of the Fraser Valley Phantom has been named the Female Midget AAA player of the month for October. Chadwick had a great start to the year with 10 goals and 8 assists in 11 games.
The Fraser Valley Phantom are off to a great start, they are currently tied for first with the Thompson-Okanagan Rockets.
“Reaghan is a high calibre player that has played to her potential since the season started,” said Fraser Valley Phantom head coach Dean Reed. “She not has put up points herself, she has elevated the players who are on the ice with her.”
Chadwick was chosen from a high calibre list of other nominees. The runners up in no particular order are as follows:
- Kootenay Wildcats – Aimee DiBella
- Vancouver Fusion – Cassidy Hendricks
- Thompson-Okanagan Rockets – Bre Frasca
- Prince George Cougars – Linda Jensen
The Female Midget AAA League was initiated in the 2007-2008 season in response to the membership’s desire to provide an opportunity for elite female hockey players to come together on zone teams to challenge other elite Female Midget teams.
