High Performance - Male High Performance
The BC Hockey Male High Performance Program was introduced in 1980 with the mandate to systematically identify and train the province's elite-level players for high performance hockey sporting events. The overall objective of the program is to increase the chances of athletes from BC to compete provincially, regionally, nationally and internationally with the ultimate goal being selected to Hockey Canada’s National Junior or National Senior Team. To be eligible, all players must be members of BC Hockey or past members attending a Hockey Canada recognized residential school.

The Canada Winter Games, BC Winter Games and the Under 17 World Hockey Challenge are events that are outside of the jurisdiction of BC Hockey and may result in differing player eligibility requirements.

The current BC Hockey Male High Performance Program contains two categories: the
Under 16 Program and the Under 17 Program
