BC Hockey is now accepting entries from members to take part in the Playstation Challenge. The Playstation Challenge is an exciting new contest where players will have the opportunity to showcase their shootout skills during an intermission at a Vancouver Canucks game.
The following four (4) dates are the games available to participate in:
- December 14, 2009 – LA Kings vs. Vancouver Canucks
- January 11, 2010 – Nashville vs. Vancouver Canucks
- March 6, 2010 – New York Islanders vs. Vancouver Canucks
- March 30, 2010 – Phoenix Coyotes vs. Vancouver Canucks
The contest is open to minor hockey teams, where they would run a shootout competition during a team practice, fill out the entry form and submit for a chance to win.
Note: Teams are given the flexibility of running the contest with how they see fit; however the winning player and goalie should be the player who scored the most and the goalie that made the most saves.
BC Hockey encourages participation from all of our members throughout the province. Note that successful Playstation Challenge applicants from outside the greater Vancouver area are eligible to recoup a portion of their travel costs to participate in the event.
