Youth Programs
BC Hockey coordinates a variety of domestic or "grass root" programs. The focus of these programs is to provide fun, educational, and safe ice hockey experiences to all partners in our game. 

Jamborees are specialized youth tournaments aimed at less experienced hockey players. They emphasize fun and fair play. This page provides details about the Canucks Female Jamboree, Northern Female Jamboree and the Chevy Safe & Fun program.  

The Penalty-Free Challenge is encourages positive social values. During BC Minor Hockey Week, teams who play a penalty free game submit their game sheet and entry form will receive a prize.   

Lace ‘Em Up is a program designed to encourage registration in local minor hockey associations by focusing on the new or first-time participant. These participants are exposed to the game in a non-threatening and enjoyable environment.   

Vancouver Canucks Centre for BC Hockey has partnered with BC Hockey to expand the opportunities and resources available to the amateur hockey community.  

Esso Fun Days is for female players who are new to the game of hockey. It aims to introduce the game and its basic skills in a fun and supportive learning environment. 

Hockey Canada Skills Camps are designed to help both players and coaches improve their fundamental hockey skills. The camps can be either one or two days in duration.
