BC Hockey Sledge ‘Try It’ Event Was a Huge Success
Monday, February 06, 2012
BC Hockey, in conjunction with the Vancouver Canucks, recently held the first ever Sledge Hockey ‘Try It’ event at Rogers Arena on January 29, 2012. The informative and fun one (1) day event filled up fast and was a huge success.
The event was held for anyone that was interested in learning to play the great game of sledge hockey. With over 20 participants from all over the province, including Kitimat and Sechelt, the interactive event proved to make everyone’s trip to Vancouver well worth it.
The event featured great instruction from eight (8) facilitators, including National Men’s Sledge Hockey team member, Scott Karrasch. Participants took part in on-ice instruction as well as an off-ice information session, and were introduced to the basic skills of the game through fun and interactive drills.
Overall, the event generated a lot of interest for people of all ages and abilities who were interested in learning to play the game and of the difference pathways that the sport can provide.

Interested in interactive sledge hockey opportunities
Hello, We're in the process of developing interactives for a new Olympic Museum. We want to represent Paralympic sports and thought it would be fun to included a sledge hockey "race to the puck" or something similar. Please call me at your earliest convenience: 604-558-0333. Thank you.
