BC Hockey announced Wednesday, September 26, 2012 the schedule for the 2012-2013 BC Female Midget AAA League (FMAAA) regular season.  The season kicks off on Saturday, September 29, 2012 with the Fraser Valley Phantom visiting the Thompson-Okanagan Rockets and the Kootenay Wildcats at the Pacific Ravens.

 

 

The schedule is highlighted with three League Weekends on October 12-14, 2012, December 14-16, 2012 and February 22-24, 2013.  The FMAAA League Opening Weekend, October 12-14, 2012, in part with World Girls Hockey Celebrations, will be held at the Surrey Sports and Leisure Centre.  The second league weekend will be hosted in December by the Northern Cougars.

 

 

The season concludes on Sunday, March 3, 2013 with the playoff battle for the BC FMAAA Championship beginning on Saturday, March 16, 2013 and the final championship starting on Saturday, April 6, 2013.  The Pacific Regional Championship will be hosted by Alberta on April 13-14, 2013, where the BC Female Midget AAA Champion will take on the Alberta Female Midget AAA Champion to determine the Pacific Representative at the ESSO Cup, which will be held in Burnaby, BC on April 21-27, 2013.

 

The Female Midget AAA League was initiated in the 2007-2008 season in response to the membership’s desire to provide an opportunity for elite female hockey players to come together on zone teams to challenge other elite Female Midget teams. The league has had over 50 players move on to post-secondary hockey opportunities.
