BC: Who has had the most influence on your hockey career, and why?
H: My past and present coaches. Jeff Eaton and Rebecca Russell have both taught me so much as a player and better yet, as a person. I feel so privileged and am fortunate enough to have had the coaches I’ve had. Without them I couldn’t be the player and person I am today.
BC: What is your first memory of playing hockey or skating?
H: Skating lessons in figure skates with my mom.
BC: Who was your favorite minor hockey coach, and why?
H: My dad. He always found time to make it fun, no matter how intense it got.
BC: What is your most memorable hockey moment?
H: Playing in a three game series against the USA.
BC: What are your future hockey goals?
H: I want to play in the Olympics for Canada’s National Women’s’ team and also play NCAA div 1 hockey.
BC: What would it mean to you to win the National Women’s U18 Championship?
H: It would be a huge honor, representing BC and winning on home soil would be surreal.
BC: What one word describes you on the ice? Off the ice?
H: On the ice, creative. Of the ice, passionate.

BC: Do you have any superstitions?
H: I have a 45-60 minute pre-game nap. I tape my stick heel to toe, mark it up and wax it. I also do certain stretches in a certain order.
BC: As a fan, what was your favorite international hockey moment?
H: Crosby’s golden goal in 2010.
BC: What do you consider your strongest hockey skill? How did you develop it?
H: My shot. I have spent long hours in the driveway working on it.
BC: What are a couple random facts about you?
H: I can wheelie on a bike for over three minutes. My middle name is Ireland. I’ve only ever played girls hockey.
