Speak Out! is an educational program designed to impact the attitudes, skills, and knowledge of the coach / instructor that will result in a safe, sportsmanlike environment for all players.  All BC Hockey team officials (excluding those on Senior Male teams) and BC Hockey instructors must be qualified in the Speak Out! program.

The program’s full name is “Speak Out!: Abuse and Harassment Can Be Stopped!” and was originally developed to addressed, reduce the amount of, and arm team officials with the knowledge of how to deal with abuse and harassment of amateur players. In subsequent years bullying has also been added to the curriculum.

To become Speak Out! qualified, simply sign up and successfully complete a Speak Out! clinic.
