Alberni Valley Bulldog Wins National Junior A Scholarship
4/23/2009Hockey Canada recently announced the 2009 RBC Junior A Scholarship winners including the national award winner, Kevin Ross of the BCHL’s Alberni Valley Bulldogs. Nine (9) other scholarships were awarded to players across the Canadian Junior Hockey League’s (CJHL). 6/29/2006BC Hockey elected their 2006-2007 executive on June 25 at their annual general meeting in Langley, BC. Al Berg stepped in as president and Rick Boekestyn was elected vice president. Former President Fred Heslop now fills the spot of past president.

Major Midget League Player of the Month for February
3/10/2006BC Hockey is pleased to announce that Vancouver South East Flames forward Jordan Hickmott has been selected as the BC Hockey Major Midget League Player of the Month for February. In eight games in February, the 15 year-old Hickmott notched 10 goals and six assists for 16 points and finished the month a +18.

Major Midget League Player of the Month for December
1/13/2006BC Hockey is pleased to announce that North West Giants goaltender Martin Jones has been named the BC Hockey Major Midget League Player of the Month for December. Jones has been consistent in net throughout the season and December was no different. He won three of three games, stopped 84 of 88 shots and registered a shutout.

12/7/2005Today, the BC Hockey Major Midget League announced that Brandon McMillan, a left winger with the Vancouver Rangers, has been selected as the BC Hockey Major Midget League Player of the Month for November. McMillan tallied six goals and six assists for 12 points in six games, helping the Rangers to a 4-1-1 record during the month. He was also a plus-6 during that span.

Major Midget League Player of the Month for October
11/9/2005Kyle Beach of the Okanagan Rockets has been selected as the BC Major Midget League Player of the Month for October. Beach tallied 11 goals and 10 assists for 21 points in six games, helping the Rockets to a 5-3-2 record for the month. In his first year in the Major Midget League, Beach is establishing himself as a leader, serving as assistant captain for away games.
