The host association will need to organize a substantial work force to accommodate all items of the competition. It is strongly suggested that a committee be established prior to the organizational meeting with BC Hockey.
A) Arena – Suitable facility to accommodate a BC Hockey Championship. The number of games will range from 16 for a six (6) team Championship to 29 games for an eleven (11) team Championship.
B) Accommodation – Secure preferred hotel rates at local properties. These costs will be paid by participating teams.
C) Food Service - Secure discounted rates at local properties. These costs will be paid by participating teams.
D) Host Committee – Develop a Host Committee to deliver the Championship. One person will be appointed a Host Committee Chair.
E) Souvenir Program – Develop and produce a souvenir program for sale during the Championship. BC Hockey will provide the cover
F) Special Events – Organize special events for participating teams to take part in. This will include an opening/closing ceremonies and banquet.
G) Officials – The BC Hockey Officiating Program will assign officials and a supervisor who will serve as the Referee in Chief for the Championship. The Host Committee will be responsible for the officiating costs
H) BC Hockey Representative – One (1) BC Hockey Representative will be assigned to each Championship.
