Technical Skill Development/Certification Maintenance
To best serve our players, BC Hockey in coopreration with Hockey Canada, have created a series of Instructional Stream Specialty Clinics to enhance the skill repertoire of member coaches. These technical courses are aimed at specific elements in our game and are relevant to coaches of all levels and abilities. These clinics are a terrific way to polish your technical teaching methods, liaise with other coaches and ensure the maintenance of your NCCP certification.

Certification Maintenance
The Coaching Association in partnership with Hockey Canada and BC Hockey recognize the value of having coaches that are engaged in professional development programs which reinforce the values of lifelong learning and sharing amongst the coaching community.
The accumulation of professional development points is a requirement for certification renewal. Every five years, BC Hockey coaches certified at the Development 1 level are required to collect 20 PD points, while coaches certified at the High Performance 1 level need 30. These points can be earned through additional clinics, online modules, conferences, and other activities that coaches may already participate in. These options include, but are not limited to:
