Major Bantam AAA Pilot Program

A Major Bantam AAA Pilot Program will be launched for the 2019 - 2020 season in the Lower Mainland, Okanagan and Vancouver Island.  The program will be made up of eight (8) teams based on the Major Midget League (MML) draw zones.  Teams include: 

  • Cariboo
  • Fraser Valley
  • Greater Vancouver
  • North Island
  • Okanagan 
  • Vancouver North East
  • Vancouver North West
  • Valley West

The program is open to all Bantam aged players (13 or 14 years old within the calendar year).

Evaluation camps were held at the end of March/beginning of April.  At the conclusion of each evaluation camp, teams were eligible to commit a minimum of 11 skaters, to a maximum of 17 plus two (2) goaltenders.  Team will be finalized on August 31, 2019.

   

Program Operation

The Major Bantam AAA Pilot Program is comprised of a 30 game season, and features two (2) Showcase Weekends.  The schedule was built to have long weekend breaks and bye-weeks so players can participate in Major Bantam tournaments.

A Major Bantam AAA tournament will be hosted in Kelowna around the MML Showcase Weekend in the 2019 - 2020 season.  Dates will be posted once confirmed and subject to change.

At the conclusion of the season, an All-Star Team will be announced, along with the Coach of the Year and Player of the Year.

Please note, adjustments to participating teams may be made at a later date.

Program Fees

The cost to attend a evaluation camp is $299.00 and the cost to play in the Major Bantam AAA Program is $6,290.00.

The evaluation camp fee is due at the time of registration for the camp and taxes are additional. The program fee is due either at the start of the season or by way of a payment plan during the season.  There are additional costs to the program for taxes, participant assessment fees and insurance premiums.  The program fee includes:

  • Accomodation & Travel for Season Games
  • Administration of Program
  • Equipment & Jersey (helmet, gloves, bag, gym shorts and shirt, team apparel)
  • Ice Time
  • Officiating Fees
  • On and Off-Ice Training
  • Program Website
  • Team Staff Expenses
  • Team Staff Honourarium
  • Tournament Entry Fee
