BC Hockey announced November 10, 2014 that Austin Gray (Prince George, BC) of the Cariboo Cougars has been named the Major Midget League Player of the Month for October. Gray finished the month with seven (7) goals and five (5) assists, and has a total of 15 goals and 14 assists for 29 points on the season.
Gray, a 17 year old first-year player, has gotten off to a blazing start for the Cougars, who have a league-best record of 13-2-1. The Cougars also lead the league in goals, with Gray, Steven Jandric, and Colton Thomas leading the league in points and providing a potent offensive attack.
