BC Hockey Midget Leagues Partner with StatsTrack
Friday, September 25, 2015
BC Hockey announced Friday, September 25, 2015 that the Major Midget League (MML) and Female Midget AAA program (FMAAA) have partnered with StatsTrack for the 2015-2016 hockey season.
With most data manually inputted on paper, it is difficult to keep accurate statistics as the game moves so quickly.  With StatsTrack, advanced data (faceoff wins, blocked shots, hits, etc.) can be inputted quickly into the program using a mobile app.  Following the game, coaches can view various reports that will provide them with quantitative data to help focus on player development in practices.  StatsTrack will help coaches be better prepared for practices and games, and also help to make better in-game decisions.  It will also help narrow down individual player strengths and weaknesses, giving them the opportunity to further develop their skills.
“Our partnership with StatsTrack will provide our coaches with the tools they require to enhance the development of our players, putting us on the cutting edge of player development” commented BC Hockey Chief Executive Officer, Barry Petrachenko.  “The detailed statistical analysis will allow us to focus on key areas of improvement, and we look forward to effect it will have on our player’s growth over the course of the coming season.”
“This is a great step forward for the BC Hockey Midget Leagues,” commented Joe Downing, MML Coordinator.  “The development of players is the main focus and StatsTrack will provide another stream for coaches to help their players reach their full potential.  We are excited to partner with StatsTrack and look forward to how it will help the league, coaches, players and parents.”
“We are excited to introduce this great tool to the Female Midget AAA Program this season,” said FMAAA Coordinator Stefan Greiner.  “Our coaches and players now have access to one of the greatest tools on the market to further develop our athletes.”
“As a coach, I am always looking for ways to improve the performance of my players and team,” said founder of StatsTrack, Drake Berehowsky.  “I developed StatsTrack so that I would have insights to make more educational decisions during games and practices.  I want to congratulate BC Hockey on introducing StatsTrack to their coaches and teams.  This organization is providing a tool to give their players, parents and coaches a competitive advantage be being on the forefront of hockey’s next evolution.”
Combining the best in hockey knowledge, statistics and leading technology, StatsTrack is the first hockey analytics software that easily tracks and quickly manages and measure game performance in real-time for teams at all levels.  It was developed to give organizations game-changing intelligence, empowering teams with real-time statistics to help make decisions on how to win more games and improve player performance.
