Vancouver North West Giants vs. Vancouver North East Chiefs

Beck Warm got the shutout for the Giants in Game 1, with Kyle Kaufmann, Mitchell Williams, Lucas Barker, Kevin Wong, and Josh Latta scoring. The Chiefs fought back in Game 2, scoring five (5) goals to the Giants’ three (3). Sho Takai, Jonny Sheardown (2), Chong Min Lee, and Harris Pearce scored for the Chiefs, while Clint Colebourne, Justin Wilson, and Kaufmann scored for the Giants.
Greater Vancouver Canadians vs. Okanagan Rockets

Both of these games were closely contested, with Cole Demers posting the shutout for the Rockets in Game 1 to help them to a 3-0 victory (goals by Alec Zawatsky, Cody Schiavon, and Hayden Dick). Greater Vancouver fought back in Game 2, holding on to a three (3) goal lead even as Okanagan battled back in the 2nd and 3rd periods. Scott Atkinson, Thomas Van Schoenberg, and Tyson Lin scored for the Canadians, while Chase Stevenson and Zach Erhardt scored for the Rockets.
Valley West Hawks vs. Fraser Valley Thunderbirds

These games were also closely contested, with the two (2) teams splitting the outcomes. Fraser Valley nabbed the win in Game 1 thanks to goals from Logan Hunter, Jake Mulder, and Jonathan Stein. Ben Evanish and Christian Bosa scored for the Hawks in the loss. In Game 2, Reece Klassen posted the shutout for Valley West.
South Island Royals vs. Thompson Blazers

South Island 4, Thompson 0
The Blazers made the trip out to the Island, but unfortunately didn’t come away with any points. South Island won Game 1 5-2 thanks to goals from Jake Wilhelm, Brandon McClintick, Jordan Guiney, Joe Stafford-Veale, and Sean Strange. Brendan Mongey and Brendan Gairdner scored for Thompson in the loss. The Blazers were blanked in Game 2, with Zakery Myrowich posting the shutout and Jarrett Malloch (2), Ted Brennan, and Lach Hadley scoring goals.
Kootenay Ice vs. Cariboo Cougars

Kootenay 1, Cariboo 8
The Cougars were able to leave Kootenay with four (4) points after showing off some of their offensive power. In Game 1, Grayson Valente and Reese Tambellini scored for Kootenay, but it wans’t enough to withstand the Cougars’ six (6) goals from Riley Coish, Chase Dubois, Jeremy Gervais, Colton Thomas (2), and Mason Richey. Game 2 was a similar story, with Shawn Campbell scoring Kootenay’s lone goal. Tyler Maser got the hat trick for Cariboo, while Reid Perepeluk (2), Tyler Ho, Jeremy Gervais, and Richey also contributed to the 8-1 scoreline.
The BC Hockey Major Midget League was established in 2004 to provide elite level 15, 16 and 17 year olds an opportunity to play within their own age group at a high level and be developed for the next level of hockey. These teams have an opportunity each year to compete for the National Midget Championship.
