The Hawks and Chiefs played a home-and-home, with Saturday’s game played in Langley and Sunday’s played in Coquitlam. After being tied 2-2 after two (2) periods (Justyn Gurney and Josh Bruce scored for the Hawks, while Liam Ryan and Chong Min Lee scored for the Chiefs), Gurney broke the deadlock midway through the third period to get the Hawks a 3-2 win. The Hawks then won Game 2 in enemy territory by a 6-4 score, thanks to goals from Ilijah Colina (2), Christian Bosa (2), and Ben Evanish (2). Brett Didyk, Sho Takai, Jesse Young, and Lee scored for the Chiefs.
Greater Vancouver Canadians vs. Thompson Blazers

The Blazers put up a fight in Game 1, but the Canadians eked out a win thanks to goal midway through the third period that broke the 2-2 tie. Matthew Facchinelli amd Ryan Chyzowski scored for Thompson, while Brennan Gaytmenn, EJ Shaw, and Chris Douglas scored for the Canadians. The teams drew Game 2, with Eric Bourhill, Scott Atkinson, and Douglas scoring for the Canadians, and Brendan Mongey, Jacob Boston, and Chyzowski scoring for the Blazers.
Cariboo Cougars vs. Vancouver North West Giants

After making the trip up to Prince George, the Giants tied Game 1 2-2 – Josh Latta and Jason Village scored for the Giants, while Chase Dubois and Colton Thomas scored for the Cougars. The Cougars claimed a win in Game 2 thanks to goals from Tyler Ho, Josh Maser, Riley Coish, and C. Dubois. Mackenzie Gray, Carter Stephenson, and Latta scored for the Giants in a losing effort.
Fraser Valley Thunderbirds vs. South Island Royals

The Thunderbirds and Royals split their weekend series. Fraser Valley took Game 1 thanks to goals from Logan Hunter, Baxter Anderson, and Jonathan Stein. Ted Brennan and Lach Hadley scored for the Royals. The Royals claimed Game 2 thanks to a shutout from Austin Roden and goals from Joe Stafford-Veale (2), Jordan Liu, and Holden Cochrane.
North Island Silvertips vs. Kootenay Ice

The Ice made the trip to the Island to visit the Silvertips. With their first game at Fuller Lake instead of the usual Frank Crane Arena, Kootenay claimed Game 1 on neutral ice with a 2-1 score. Tommy McConnachie and Aiden Jenner scored for the Ice, while Dawson Frank scored the ‘Tips’ lone goal. Back at the familiar Frank Crane Arena in Nanaimo for Game 2 on Sunday, North Island claimed a 3-2 win behind goals from John Hawthorne, Ethan Schmunk, and Dawson. Hunter Floris and McConnachie scored for Kootenay.
The BC Hockey Major Midget League was established in 2004 to provide elite level 15, 16 and 17 year olds an opportunity to play within their own age group at a high level and be developed for the next level of hockey. These teams have an opportunity each year to compete for the National Midget Championship.
