BC Hockey is pleased to announce that Brendan Gallagher of the Greater Vancouver Canadians has been selected as the BC Hockey Player of the Month for November. Gallagher is an alternate captain for the Canadians and, after skipping a grade, currently holds an above 80% average in the 11th grade. In the month of November this right winger from Delta, BC has scored nine goals and assisted on six for a total tally of 15 points. Brendan also netted two hat tricks and averaged three points per game in this nominating month.
“Brendan is prepared for and works hard every game and is a leader on and off the ice. He competes hard every shift,” stated the Canadians two co-head coaches, Rob Rogers and Matt Erhart.
As player of the month, Gallagher will receive a gift from Mission-Itech.
The BC Hockey Major Midget League was established in 2004 to provide elite level 15, 16 and 17 year olds an opportunity to play within their own age group at a high level and be developed for the next level of hockey. These teams have an opportunity each year to compete for the National Midget Championship.
