Hohl Named Greater Vancouver General Manager
Monday, July 24, 2017

The Greater Vancouver Canadians of the BC Major Midget League (MML) are pleased to announce that Garret Hohl (Vancouver) has been named the team’s new general manager.

Hohl takes over the general manager role following Phil Alalouf (Delta) moving from general manager to head coach after the resignation of Mike Twaites. Hohl currently runs a statistical tracking and analysis company. He also operates a hockey statistical research blog, Hohl has experience contributing to media outlets regarding statistical analysis.  Hohl attended the University of British Columbia (UBC) with a focus on studying Biostatistics and Analytical Chemistry.

In addition to Hohl and Alalouf, Dylan Herold (Delta) will remain as an assistant coach for the Canadians. Herold has played in the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) with Trail, Merritt and Coquitlam before attending Elmira College (NCAA).

The MML was established in 2004 to provide elite level 15, 16 and 17 year olds an opportunity to play within their own age group at a high level and be developed for the next level of hockey. These teams have an opportunity each year to compete for the TELUS Cup, Canada’s National Midget Championship.
