2017-2018 Major Midget League Showcase

The 2017-2018 Major Midget League (MML) season began last weekend across five (5) cities in BC. From Friday September 29 - Sunday October 1, 2017, the league will host the MML Showcase Weekend at the Richmond Oval. All 11 MML teams will be in action over the weekend. The Okanagan Rockets will play the Everett Elite Silvertips in a pair of exhibition games at the event.

MML Schedule

The showcase is a chance for all teams to play in one location with the Lower Mainland teams all serving as the home team to teams from outside the Lower Mainland. All games, expect for the Okanagan-Everett contests count in the MML standings.

The MML Championship winner will compete against the Alberta champion in the Pacific Regional Championship for a chance to play in the 2018 TELUS Cup, Canada’s National Midget Championship being held in Sudbury, Ontario April 23-29, 2018.

The MML was established in 2004 to provide elite level 15, 16 and 17 year-old players an opportunity to play within their own age group at a high level and be developed for the next level of hockey. These teams have an opportunity each year to compete for the TELUS Cup, Canada’s National Midget Championship.
