Carter Cochrane (Kamloops) has been named the new head coach of the Thompson Blazers Major Midget League (MML) team.
Cochrane becomes the Blazers’ head coach following one (1) season as the team’s assistant coach. He is a former Western Hockey League (WHL) and British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) player and is currently enrolled in the Business Program at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops. He has also been an instructor with Kamloops Minor Hockey Association Hockey Schools from 2011 – 2017
The MML was established in 2004 to provide elite level 15, 16 and 17 year-old players an opportunity to play within their own age group at a high level and be developed for the next level of hockey. These teams have an opportunity each year to compete for the TELUS Cup, Canada’s National Midget Championship.
