BC Hockey is pleased to announce that Connor Tiechko of the Fraser Valley Bruins has been selected as the BC Hockey Major Midget League (MML) Player of the Month for February. Tiechko, the leading point getter and a forward with the Bruins scored seven goals and assisted on 11 for an incredible 16 point total in the month of February. Connor, an A plus student, also had zero penalty minutes in his nominating month.
“[Connor] was truly the offensive catalyst for our hockey club during the month. The team was led by Connor’s play and exemplary leadership…He truly deserves recognition for the brand of hockey that he has been playing,” boasted the Bruins head coach Patrick Ansell.
As player of the month, Tiechko will receive a gift from Mission-Itech.
Connor Tiechko was chosen from a high caliber list of other nominees for this prestigious award. The runners up, in no particular order, are as follows:

The BC Hockey Major Midget League was established in 2004 to provide elite level 15, 16 and 17 year olds an opportunity to play within their own age group at a high level and be developed for the next level of hockey. These teams have an opportunity each year to compete for the National Midget Championship.
