BC Hockey announced that Sara Swiderski of the Fraser Valley Rush has been named the Female Midget AAA League (FMAAA) Player of the Month for January 2019. The defender from Langley, BC, had nine (9) points (1 goal, 8 assists) in 10 games. Swiderski is an alternate captain for the Rush and is third in team scoring with 19 points in 25 games.
Swiderski has mentored all incoming players with the Fraser Valley Rush Experience a Dream Program along with raising money for the Devotion for Motion charity.

The FMAAA was initiated in the 2007-2008 season in response to the membership’s desire to provide an opportunity for elite female hockey players to come together on zone teams to challenge other elite female Midget teams. The league has had over 100 players move on to post-secondary hockey opportunities.
