In March 2018, BC Hockey announced changes to female elite programming. One of those changes was the combination of the Female Midget AAA League (FMAAA) and Female Program of Excellence (POE) U16 and U18 open camps. Registration is now open for eligible player who wish to participate in the FMAAA and/or the POE.
All athletes wishing to be involved in either of these programs must attend a camp to be evaluated for advancement through the respective programs. Athletes must attend the camp in the region which their parents/guardians reside. The camp is open to all female athletes born from 2002 – 2005.

Players can be evaluated for the FMAAA, the POE or both programs at the camps.
For those being evaluated for the POE, athletes will be evaluated for advancement to the Provincial Camp in Shawnigan Lake in July 2019. The top 80 athletes out of the U16/U18 pool will be invited to advance based on their camp evaluations.
For those being evaluated for the FMAAA, they will be evaluated for the team in their region. Players are not eligible to tryout for a FMAAA team outside their region of residency. Since there are no boundaries in the Lower Mainland, athletes need to determine the team of which they want to be eligible for. The league only allows three (3) underage players to be rostered per team. They must be identified within the top six (6) forwards or top four (4) defenders on the team based on evaluation to be eligible.
The cost to attend the camp is $320 plus tax. Accommodations and meals are the responsibility of the athlete for the weekend. Schedules will be posted to the website as they become finalized.
