Aidan See of the North Island Silvertips impressed throughout the season, leading the league in scoring with 52 points in 30 games.
Leading the way through a challenging season for the Silvertips, Aidan relished every moment with his team.
“This season has been amazing in so many ways,” said Aidan. “From almost winning our first tournament, to bonding with a great team and playing at a high level while still living at home; this year has been great. I can’t say enough great things about my head coach Brad Knight & Assistant Gabe Rossi and what they did for me this season.”
Aidan is one of three Silvertips from the small town of Port Alberni, over an hour drive to the Silvertips home in Nanaimo. Aidan and his teammates used the travel time getting to practices and on the team bus to the mainland to bond and build as a team.
Aidan will be eligible for the WHL draft taking place next Wednesday, April 22nd. From there, he’ll move onto the U18 level with his love for the game the guiding force in his hockey career.
“I love hockey for so many reasons,” added Aidan. “The main one would be the level of competition it holds and camaraderie between my teammates. Hockey has given me friendships that will last a lifetime.”
