BCEHL WEEKEND UPDATE - NOVEMBER 19-21

Saanichton, B.C. – After adverse weather and road conditions forced adjustments to the weekend schedule, 14 teams across the BCEHL return to action all playing geographically limited games. In the U18 Female AAA league the Fraser Valley Rush will play their fifth and sixth league games in the last eight days. In the U18 AAA league the Greater Vancouver Canadians will look to increase their lead in the standings over the Vancouver NW Hawks, with the Hawks only one point behind. Let’s dive into all the games that are on the docket!
 
U18 Female AAA
 
The U18 Female AAA league returns to action after a crazy week of games. The Fraser Valley Rush and Northern Capitals met in a mid-week series, which saw each team take home one win, giving the Rush their first loss of the season. Rush teammates Vienna Rubin (10g-8a) and Aynsley D’Ottavio (2g-16a), jumped into a tie for fourth in league scoring. They will both look to add to their totals as the Rush face off with the Greater Vancouver Comets in the only U18 Female AAA action this weekend.

U18 AAA
 
In the only U18 AAA BCEHL action of last weekend, the Greater Vancouver Canadians swept the South Island Royals, and scored 13 goals along the way. Grady Lenton of the Canadians jumped into first in league scoring after a seven-point (2g-5a) series. The Canadians will battle the Valley West Giants. In one of the other U18 AAA games Ryan Watt and the Vancouver NW Hawks will face off against Gavin Giesbrecht and the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds, with both players in the top 10 in league scoring.

U17 AAA
 
The Vancouver NW Hawks and the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds will battle this weekend with both teams coming off two weekend wins. The clubs are now locked at 16 points each. This matchup will showcase four of the top 10 point scorers in the league as Connor Martin (8g-8a) and Marco Oliviero (5g-12a) of the Thunderbirds will go head-to-head with Liam Hoff (3g-16a) and Deacon Drummond (2g-14a) of the Hawks. Elsewhere goaltender Dylan Adams and the Okanagan Rockets will aim to remain hot as they take on their local rival, the Thompson Blazers.
