BC Players Selected to National Team

BC Hockey would like to congratulate BC athletes John Negrin, Colton Gillies, Brett Sonne and Kyle Turris on their selection to the 2006-2007 National Men’s Summer Under 18 Team. These four talented players will compete with the team at the Junior World Cup in Piestany, Slovakia and Breclav, Czech Republic from August 8-12, 2006.

 

Negrin, Gillies, Sonne and Turris were the only BC representatives among the 44 athletes invited to the selection camp which was held July 29 to Aug 1. The team is comprised of 22 players from across Canada.

The BC players were all very nervous going into camp, but that nervousness turned into excitement when they found out they had made the team. All four players also participated in the 2006 World Under 17 Challenge in Regina, SK.
