The male Under 16 program is designed to instruct and prepare High Performance Players for future opportunities in BC Hockey’s High Performance Program. The program consists of Zone Camps where the athletes are educated on hockey technical materials as well as athlete preparation topics.

In addition to Zone Camp, those players selected to represent their district are exposed to one of two provincial competitions, the BC Hockey U16 Cup or the BC Winter Games:

oU16 Cup: Takes place mid-April on every non-BC Winter Games Year.  Twenty (20) players will be selected from each Zone Camp to represent their Zone at the U16 BC Cup. Zone Teams will compete at U16 Cup against the best players in their age division from across the province.

oBC Winter Games: Takes place every second season at the end of February (2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014).  Twenty (20) players will be selected from each Zone Camp to represent their Zone at the BC Winter Games. Each team will compete at the BC Winter Games against the best players in their age division from across British Columbia.
