The Midget A and Midget AAA Northern Cougars served as team leaders, and also participated in the Midget Long Game on Saturday night. Click here to see pictures from the Northern Female Jamboree.
  • Here's a video recap of the Northern Female Jamboree:

  • In Victoria, more than 25 females between the ages of 5 and 18 tried hockey for the first time thanks to the Victoria Minor Hockey Association’s Senior Esso Fun Day.
  • The Vancouver Angels hosted a “Try Hockey” session, and the event was so popular that a second session was added. In total, 55 skaters participated over the weekend.
  • In Dawson Creek, 30 girls participated in an “Introduction to Hockey” clinic hosted by the City of Dawson Creek’s recreation department.
  • The Pacific Coast Amateur Hockey Association held a “We Are Coaches” clinic, allowing approximately a dozen women to get their coaching certifications.
  • The South Coast Amateur Female Hockey League held a game between the Meadow Ridge Moose and the South Fraser TNT in Delta.
  • 25 of the Okanagan Mainline Amateur Hockey Association’s teams were in action over the weekend in Kamloops, Williams Lake, and other cities around the region.
  • In Richmond, the Richmond Ravens held a “Try It” event for younger (Tyke/Novice) players to get a taste of hockey, and had a jamboree at the Richmond Oval before the Bantam Long Game.
