BC Hockey announced October 23, 2014 that Serena Hillman has been named the Female Midget AAA (FMAAA) League Coordinator for the 2014-2015 season.
“I am excited to join BC Hockey in the coordination and management of the Female Midget AAA League,” said Hillman. “We have become a premier female league within Canada and continuing to develop the league and BC’s high performance players is an exciting challenge.”
Hillman has been the Lower Mainland Female High Performance Coordinator and assistant coach to the Fraser Valley Phantom for the past three (3) seasons. She played NCAA Division 1 hockey at Quinnipiac University and their team for two (2) years as captain. During this time she received numerous awards including being selected as an ECAC All-Star. Hillman grew up in BC playing for local minor hockey associations before attending and graduating from Notre Dame in Wilcox, Saskatchewan.
The Female Midget AAA League was initiated in the 2007-2008 season in response to the membership’s desire to provide an opportunity for elite female hockey players to come together on zone teams to challenge other elite Female Midget teams.
