Team Canada West Roster Announced for 2007 World Junior A Challenge
Wednesday, October 17, 2007

BC Hockey is pleased to announce that five (5) players and four (4) staff who make BC their home will be competing with Team Canada West at the 2007 World Junior A Challenge in Trail and Nelson, BC from November 5-11, 2007.  Two of the Team Canada West players have represented BC once before; Derek Lee was a member of Team BC at the 2007 Canada Winter Games and Nolan Julseth-White was a member of Team Pacific at the 2005 World U17 Hockey Challenge.

“The players that have been selected from BC to represent Team Canada West are a product of the great hockey system we have in BC,” said BC Hockey President Al Berg. “We hope this event will be a positive and rewarding experience with memories that will be enjoyed for years to come.”

The Canada West roster is comprised of players from the CJAHL’s five western leagues: the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL), Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL), Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL), Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) and Superior International Junior Hockey League (SIJHL).
