BC Hockey would like to welcome all coaches back to another exciting season of hockey. The priority of the BC Hockey Coaching program is the betterment of all players through exceptional coaching. To this end, we would like to remind you of the certification requirements, development opportunities and innovation for the 2017-2018 season.
Certification Requirements: BC Hockey has added a new clinic to the standing National Coach Certification Program (NCCP) offerings. The Coach 1 – Intro to Coach is required for all new coaches at the below atom division. This course content has been refined to match the Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) principles for athletes from five to eight (5-8) years old.
