Female U18 Zone Team Rosters Announced
Thursday, January 24, 2008

BC Hockey would like to announce the Female Under 18 Zone Teams that will compete at the 2008 BC Winter Games, February 21-24, 2008 in Kimberly / Cranbrook, BC.

The BC Winter Games offer BC's top female players in the BC Hockey High Performance Under 18 Program the unique experience of competing with the best players in their age group from across the province. The objective of the Program is to enhance the overall performance of BC athletes, coaches and officials in high level sporting events.

The inclusion of the Female Under 18 program into competitions like the BC Games has established the program from its erratic start to a well designed event. Following the training stage established in the Under 16 program, the first identification stage for female players is the Under 18 program.

The Cities of Kimberly and Cranbrook are looking forward to playing host to these exceptional athletes and coaches!

The BC Hockey High Performance Under 18 Program is under the direction of Shannon Bell, BC Hockey Officer at Large, and Bruce Tuck, BC Hockey High Performance Coordinator. In addition there are many great volunteers that make this program possible and BC Hockey would like to thank these valuable resources and commend everyone on a great job done on zone tryout camps.
