BC Hockey is excited to announce that Vancouver North East Attack forward Curtis Dickson has been named the BC Hockey Major Midget League Player of the Month for January.
Dickson registered five goals and three assists for eight points in six games in January. He has been with the league since it’s inception last fall and chose to continue playing in the Major Midget League despite being fielded offers from other leagues, including the WHL.
He has combined his academic and athletic (hockey and lacrosse) talents to earn a full lacrosse scholarship to a Division 1 NCAA university in Delaware, beginning this September.
The BC Hockey Major Midget League Player of the Month is sponsored by CCM / Reebok. Recipients of this award will receive a special gift from CCM / Reebok.
The BC Hockey Major Midget League was established in 2004 to provide elite level 15, 16 and 17 year olds an opportunity to play within their own age group at a high level and be developed for the next level of hockey. These teams have an opportunity each year to compete for the National Midget Championship.
