BC Hockey and Hockey Canada recently announced the opening of their official call for registration for the 2008 Hockey Canada Skills Development Camp. This presents a unique opportunity of hosting a Hockey Canada Skills Development Camp to all member Minor Hockey Associations (MHA’s).
Hockey Canada developed the program in 1997 and is now entering its 12 season. The primary objective of the program is to provide a vehicle for players and coaches to further develop the fundamental skills required to play the game of Hockey. The Hockey Canada Skills Development Camps are a one or two-day event open to boys and girls playing in the Atom and Pee Wee divisions (9-12 years of age). Fundamental skill development is the primary focus of the program; ensuring players receive the necessary learning opportunities to further enhance their skill base.
Application to Host
All Minor Hockey Associations within BC are given the opportunity to submit an application, however only a limited number of camps are offered each season. BC Hockey will review each application as they are received.
