Vancouver Canucks Host Annual Superskills Competition
Tuesday, February 03, 2009

The Vancouver Canucks hosted their annually Superskills competition this past weekend on Sunday, February 1 in front of a jam packed crowd at GM Place.  The Comox Valley Mazda Chiefs Pee Wee team won the opportunity to participate on-ice with the Canucks during the skills competition.  The Chiefs won a contest that was offered through the Canucks Centre for BC Hockey (Danone Taste of the Game Contest).

In addition to the Chiefs having the honour of participating on-ice with the Vancouver Canucks, they raised over $700 for the Canucks for Kids Fund.  For pictures from the Superskills competition, please Click Here .

The Danone Taste of the Game Contest received a number of team applications over and above the Grand Prize selection of 1000 Minor Hockey players (team applicants).  Each player and a guest were given a ticket to take in the annual Superskills contest.

This is just one (1) of the many opportunities that the BC Hockey membership has access to through the Canucks Centre for BC Hockey.  Programs are run throughout the hockey season and getting involved can be done by simply going to the BC Hockey website to check out the various contests that run through the Centre.

Coaching Day in BC is planned for Saturday, February 7 at GM Place with a number of special events planned to enhance the development of coaches in BC Hockey.  Coaches wishing to attend still have the opportunity to sign-up; please Click Here for a registration form.
