BC Hockey Female Jamboree in the Okanagan
Wednesday, March 11, 2009

BC Hockey recently announced that a Female Jamboree will be held in Lillooet, BC from March 20-22.  Female hockey players (across the province) aged 7-13 are invited to sign up to participate in the BC Hockey Female Jamboree.  The deadline to register for this opportunity is March 15, 2009.  BC Hockey, the Lillooet Minor Hockey Association, and OMAHA (Okanagan Mainline Amateur Hockey Association) are looking forward to hosting this event for the female players (registered with BC Hockey) as well as coaches and officials participating in the 2009 BC Hockey Female Jamboree.

Complete game schedules will be posted on the BC Hockey website, prior to the event. Confirmation packages, including team assignments, will be sent out via email after the March 15 deadline.

  • All goalies and players must bring their own equipment and socks; game jerseys will be supplied.
  • Player registration fee: $95.00.
  • Coach registration fee: none.

BC Hockey Jamboree deadline: March 15, 2009

The BC Hockey Jamborees are intended for female players of all skill levels who are age 7-13. The Female Jamboree is a grass roots program that creates a non-competitive atmosphere and allows participants to have fun playing hockey with girls from around the province who have similar skills. It is a celebration of participation in female hockey.

Once the registration deadline has passed, teams will be formed based on participants’ age and skill. Players from throughout the province will be mixed, allowing each team to be represented by a number of BC communities. Each team will play three (3) games and participants will receive a souvenir jersey and other novelties.
