2010 Fred Page Cup

The British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) 2010 Championship is set to begin April 2, 2010 with the Vernon Vipers taking on the Powell River Kings in game one (1) of the Fred Page Cup finals. This is the second consecutive season that the Vipers and Kings have met in the BCHL Championship.
 
The winner will advance to the Doyle Cup and take on the Alberta Junior A Hockey League champion. The winner of the Doyle Cup will advance to the RBC Royal Bank Cup – National Junior A Championship.

The Powell River Kings captured the Coastal Conference championship with a seven-game series win over the Alberni Valley Bulldogs, while the Vernon Vipers defeated the Penticton Vees in six (6) games to capture the Interior Conference title.
 
In addition to winning the Fred Page Cup, they will win the Mowat Cup.  The Mowat Cup was donated to BC Hockey by Mr. John Mowat of Victoria, BC for competition of Junior Hockey Clubs, emblematic of the Junior A Amateur Hockey Championship of British Columbia.
