Tournament Application

Please allow 7-10 business days to process. Please note that there is a $50 fee for any cancelled tournament or jamboree

Important
 

At least 30 days prior to the event taking place, the applicant MUST:

  1. Send a copy of the sanction permit and a list of officials to be used at the event to the Officiating Coordinator. Only BC Hockey certified officials are to be used.  Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action.
  2. It is the Tournament Hosts responsibility to verify that all participating teams are properly registered and sanctioned with  their appropriate Branch or Federation.   Please contact the BC Hockey office should you require any assistance.
  3. Ensure that all administrative aspects of the tournament comply with BC Hockey Regulations. Any association that has been granted a Tournament Sanction Permit and subsequently contracts out the organization of that tournament to a third party, shall be responsible for ensuring that the tournament complies with BC Hockey Regulations. Any association allowing non-members to participate in an BC Hockey Sanctioned Tournament will be subject to disciplinary action.

 

Please keep a copy of the Tournament / Jamboree Sanction Permit for the Host Association’s records.

 

Tournament / Jamboree Sanctions are granted under the provisions that all BC Hockey and Hockey Canada regulations are adhered to.

 

Sanctioned BC Hockey tournaments are posted on the BC Hockey website. To print a copy of the Tournament / Jamboree Sanction Permit, click on the permit number displayed on the website. If there is a need to keep the tournament / jamboree information private (if, for example, it is by invitation only), please contact the BC Hockey office.

 

Do not send payment, an invoice will be sent.

 

After the tournament has occurred, an email will be sent in order to complete the Tournament / Jamboree Follow-Up Report.

** Please note: all below Atom tournaments MUST be played using a cross-ice surface.

The below fee structure is for your information only. Please do NOT send payment. You will be invoiced.

 

Tournaments Branch $75** All teams from within BC / Yukon
  Interbranch (other provinces) $125** Plus $10 for each team outside of BC / Yukon
  USA Hockey & International $175** Plus $50 for each team outside Canada AND $10 for each Canadian team outside BC / Yukon
Jamborees All Jamborees $75**  
Cancelled Tournaments/Jamborees $50**

By submitting this application to host a tournament, I certify that the Tournament Name used is the true and correct name of the tournament that will be held and that the name reflects the tournament accurately. I understand that any deviation from this stated name in any tournament documentation or correspondence may result in withdrawal of the tournament sanction permit.
