PAGE 19 MALE HIGH PERFORMANCE U15 PROGRAM TEAM BC The Male U15 Program entered the second season of operation in 2015-2016. Registration for the Region Camps opened in late October and closed in early March. Approximately 430 players attended one 1 of the four 4 Region Camps held in BC in early April. At the conclusion of the four 4 region camps 160 players were selected to attend the 2016 Male U15 Provincial Tournament that was held at the Richmond Oval. The Provincial Tournament included Western Hockey League WHL on and off-ice Combine Testing to enhance the overall experience for all the participants. Team BC competed at the 2015 Western Canada U16 Challenge Cup which took place October 28 2015 to November 1 2016 in Calgary Alberta. The Western Canada U16 Challenge Cup featured the highest rated players in the U16 age category representing the four 4 western provinces. The majority of players who participated in the event were selected in the Western Hockey League WHL Bantam Draft in May 2015. After a disappointing loss in the semi-finals Team BC captured the bronze medal with a 7 2 victory over Team Saskatchewan. U16 PROGRAM The Male U16 Provincial Camp was in Nanaimo BC from July 15 19 2015. Forty- four 44 players were selected to attend based on their performance at the BC Cup which was held in Salmon Arm. The five 5 day camp featured on and off-ice training activities presentations from Team BC coaching staff and four 4 intra- squad games. At the conclusion of the camp 25 players were short-listed for participation on Team BC.
