PAGE 20 SCHOOL PROGRAMMING SCHOOL PROGRAMMING COMMITTEE HCSA OPERATORS MEETING The School Programming Committee enjoyed a very productive first year of operation within BC Hockey. Along with the continuation of existing education programs the committee embarked on a number of new and successful initiatives which have been highlighted below. BC Hockey held a HCSA operators meeting prior to the National Skills Academy development weekend in Calgary Alberta. BC Hockey was able to follow up on a number of action items brought forward by the HCSA operators and will hold another meeting in July. BC HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY LEAGUE CANUCKS CENTRE PARTNERSHIP The BC High School Hockey League BCHSHL enjoyed another successful season of operations. Over 20 teams for Abbotsford to Whistler competed in three 3 tiers. This years winners were Yale Tier 1 Mission Tier 2 and Sands Tier 3. BC Hockey was able to utilize our Canucks Centre for BC Hockey partnership this season and give all high school players registered with a Hockey Canada Skills Academy the opportunity to participate on-ice with the Vancouver Canucks at their annual Super Skills Competition. This year three 3 students took part.
