BC HOCKEY OFFERING EVENTS DURING WORLD GIRLS' ICE HOCKEY WEEKEND

Saanichton, B.C. - BC Hockey is excited to offer three categories of special events during World Girls' Ice Hockey Weekend, October 8-9, 2022.

On Saturday, October 8^th, there will be three skills sessions offered to players (U7, U9 and U11) that will be facilitated by University of British Columbia (UBC) Thunderbirds' alum Shay-Lee McConnell. There are only 25 spots available for each skills session and registration is only $10. Registration closes on October 6^th.

For the coaches, or those who want to become coaches, there will be a We Are Coaches female-only clinic on Saturday, October 8^th. 

For new officials, BC Hockey will be offering two levels of officiating clinics, a Level 1 course and a Level 2 course on Sunday, October 9^th, for only $5.00! 

All of the events will be taking place at Killarney Community Centre in Vancouver. The dates and registration links for the events can be found below:

Skills Sessions with UBC Thunderbirds' Alum Shay-Lee McConnell:

Saturday, October 8th - Killarney Community Centre (Vancouver, B.C.)

• U7 Session (Registration: 7:50 a.m., Skills Session: 8:30 a.m. - 9:15 a.m.)
• U9 Session (Registration: 8:50 a.m., Skills Session: 9:30 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.)
• U11 Session (Registration: 9:50 a.m., Skills Session: 10:30 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.)

We Are Coaches Clinic – Coach 2 Level: 

Saturday, October 8th (8:00 a.m.) - Killarney Community Centre (Vancouver, B.C.)

The We Are Coaches clinics are female-only clinics – for female coaches, facilitated by female coaches. Additionally, delegates will be reimbursed for the clinic registration fee upon confirmation of clinic completion! You must complete the on-demand HU: ONLINE Coach 1/Coach 2 prerequisite module prior to registering for the We Are Coaches clinic.

Registrants must have completed the HU Online Officiating 1/2 Course prior to being eligible to register for these in-person clinics that are now only $5.00!

• Level 1 - NEW - Level 1
• Level 2 - NEW - Level 2 (17 years & under) [no CRC required]
• Level 2 - NEW - Level 2 (18+ years) [CRC required]
