BC HOCKEY SELECTED FOR CANADIAN WOMEN & SPORT - SAME GAME CHALLENGE

Saanichton, B.C. - BC Hockey is excited to announce it has been one of the organizations selected by Canadian Women & Sport to participate in Same Game Challenge presented by Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities.

Canadian Women & Sport's mission is to transform sport in Canada so girls and women can reach their full potential. With this goal, they created the Same Game Challenge program.

The Same Game Challenge is a seven-month step-by-step program aimed to provide organizations with resources and tools for creating more inclusive sport environments for girls, women, and gender-diverse participants. The third-party insights and peer collaboration offered by the Same Game Challenge can help BC Hockey identify areas needing improvement and provide effective solutions as we work to engage more women and girls in hockey.

During the program, BC Hockey will be supported with: 

• An honorarium to support gender equity activities. 
• Coaching and mentorship on how to embed gender equity into organizational strategies, processes, and programs.  
• Connection with a community of participants made up of diverse leaders and organizations from across Canada.
