BCEHL MONTHLY AWARD WINNERS ANNOUNCED - NOVEMBER 2023

Saanichton, B.C. – The BCEHL is excited to announce the monthly award winners for November 2023. Each league will have a forward, defender and goaltender honoured each month. The winners are chosen based on statistical and team success during the month. Strong work in the community will now be honoured twice a season, previously it was part of the criteria for player of the month.
Female U18 AAA
Forward of the Month
#15 Alexandra Recsky Thompson-Okanagan Lakers
MHA: Kelowna
Alexandra Recsky of the Thompson-Okanagan Lakers is the November Forward of the Month for the Female U18 AAA league. The 16-year-old had an outstanding month as she led the league in assists (10) and total points (11) during the Lakers nine games in November. The Kelowna, B.C. native saw all of her points come at even strength with the exception of one power play goal. |
Defender of the Month
#4 Hannah Robertson Thompson-Okanagan Lakers
MHA: Greater Vernon
Thompson-Okanagan Lakers’ blueliner, Hannah Robertson, earns the nod as the November Defender of the Month for the Female U18 AAA league. The Vernon, B.C. native tallied seven points, all assists, through nine games. The 17-year-old’s seven helpers tied her for second in the league among all skaters for the month of November. Robertson is now one point behind the league-lead in points among defenders for the 2023-24 season. |
Goaltender of the Month
#1 Reese Sliskovic Thompson-Okanagan Lakers
MHA: Kelowna
Reese Sliskovic of the Thompson-Okanagan Lakers grabbed the Goaltender of the Month for the Female U18AAA league for November. The Kelowna MHA graduate went 4-0-1-0 through five games this month. The 16-year-old had two shutouts and a 1.36 goals against average for November. Sliskovic leads the league in wins (9) and is second in shutouts (3) for the 2023-24 season. |

#16 Ben Walker Vancouver North West Hawks
MHA: Sunshine Coast
Vancouver North West Hawks forward, Ben Walker, has collected the November Forward of the Month for the U18 AAA league. Walker had an outstanding month leading the U18 AAA league with 11 points (3g-8a) in 6 games. The Gibsons, B.C. native was tied for the November lead with eight assists. The 17-year-old is tied for seventh place in league scoring for the 2023-24 season with 21 points. |
Defender of the Month
#9 Tristan Payne Vancouver North West Hawks
MHA: North Shore Winter Club
Defenceman Tristan Payne had a big month for the Vancouver North West Hawks earning him the November Defender of the Month award for the U18 AAA league. The 6-1, 175 pound blueliner notched nine points (2g-7a) in only three games in November. Payne led the entire league for the month in points per game (3.0) and led all defenders in power play points. The 17-year-old finished the month fifth in league scoring a mere two points back of the leader. |
Goaltender of the Month
#30 Nathan Claydon Vancouver North East Chiefs
MHA: Ridge Meadows
Nathan Claydon of the Vancouver North East Chiefs has captured the November U18 AAA Goaltender of the Month with a perfect month. The Ridge Meadows native was unbeatable this month as he went 3-0-0-0 with three shutouts earning him a goals against average of 0.00. For the season, the 17-year-old is the only goaltender in the league with a goals against average that is under two goals a game (1.99). He leads the league in wins (8) and shutouts (5), and is tied for the league-lead in goals allowed (22) (minimum 200 minutes played). |

#89 Ryley Green Fraser Valley Thunderbirds
MHA: Chilliwack
After recording 10 points (3g-7a) in just six games this month, Ryley Green of the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds has been named November's U17 AAA Forward of the Month. The 15-year-old led the entire league in game-winning goals (2) throughout the month, and also recorded a league-best 1.67 points per game. His 10 points and four power play points in November ranks second in the league throughout the month in those categories. |
Defender of the Month
#71 Joshua Lee Valley West Giants
MHA: Semiahmoo
Joshua Lee of the Valley West Giants has taken home the November U17 AAA Defender of the Month award. The 15-year-old had a month to remember as he not only led all blueliners in points this month (1g-10a), he also led all skaters in points (11), assists (10), power play assists (4) and power play points (5). Lee's one goal was also a game-winning goal, placing him in a tie for second among all skaters in the league in that category. He is tied for fifth in league scoring so far this season with 18 points (1g-17a). |

#31 Roman Singh Valley West Giants
MHA: Surrey
Valley West Giants' goaltender Roman Singh has earned the November U17 AAA Goaltender of the Month award. The 15-year-old finished the month with a 3-0-1-0 record, which included one shutout. The Surrey MHA alum was the only goaltender with four or more starts this month that did not record a loss, and also recorded three wins this month, which is tied for the league-best in November. He had the highest win percentage (0.75) of any U17 AAA goaltender. |

Forward of the Month
#17 Riley Charlton Fraser Valley Thunderbirds
MHA: Chilliwack
Riley Charlton's 13 points (2g-11a) rocketed him to claiming the U15 AAA Forward of the Month for November. The Fraser Valley Thunderbirds' forward recorded three more points than any other player in the league throughout the month and his three power play assists, two shorthanded assists and one game-winning goal were all tied for league-best in those categories. The Chilliwack MHA alum also recorded a league-best 11 assists this month. |
Defender of the Month
#9 Koltin Herfst Fraser Valley Thunderbirds
MHA: Chilliwack
Koltin Herfst has been named the November U15 AAA Defender of Month, becoming the first repeat winner of a BCEHL Monthly Award this season. The Chilliwack, B.C. native racked up 10 points (1g-9a) throughout the month, placing him second in points and assists among all skaters throughout November, and first among defenders. His two shorthanded assists was tied for league-best throughout the month. The Fraser Valley Thunderbirds' defender is third in league points (2g-19a) so far this season. |
Goaltender of the Month
#35 Bentley Edgar Fraser Valley Thunderbirds
MHA: Mission
With a record of 3-0-0-0 throughout the month, Bentley Edgar has been named the November U15 AAA Goaltender of the Month. The 13-year-old backstopped his team to three wins this month, more than any other goaltender in the league, and also recorded a 1.00 goals against average through the month. The Fraser Valley Thunderbirds' goaltender registered one shutout in November. He has a perfect 6-0-0-0 record this season and has recorded three shutouts while recording a league best 0.67 goals against average and allowing a league-low four goals. |
