Saanichton, B.C. - It's time to kick off the last week of BCEHL hockey ahead of the holiday break! We close out the calendar year with a series between the top two teams in the U17 league. Let's take a look at what's in store in the BCEHL.
Female U18 AAA
The Female U18 league sees four teams in action this weekend. The league-leading Greater Vancouver Comets (19-2-1-0) will face the fifth-place Fraser Valley Rush (5-8-1-0). The Comets have won each of their five meetings against the Rush this season. The second-place Northern Capitals (8-7-0-1) will look to continue their winning ways against the third-place Thompson-Okanagan Lakers (5-7-2-3), as they’ve won both previous meetings this season.

U18 AAA
It's another busy weekend ahead for the U18 league as all eight squads will hit the ice. With three points dividing them in the standings, the second-place Valley West Giants (15-5-0-1) host the third-place Okanagan Rockets (17-7-1-1) in Langley. The first-place Cariboo Cougars (15-3-1-1) host the eighth-place Thompson Blazers (2-18-0-0) in Prince George.

U17 AAA
It's a clash between the top two teams in the U17 league when the red-hot Okanagan Rockets (18-2-0-0) bring their eight-game winning streak into a matchup with the second-place Vancouver North West Hawks (15-7-1-0) in Kelowna. Only one point behind in the standings, the fifth-place Fraser Valley Thunderbirds (13-6-0-1) will look to leapfrog the fourth-place Valley West Giants (13-6-1-1) when they take the ice.

The U15 league closes out 2024 with six teams set to take the ice this weekend. The second-place Cariboo Cougars (11-4-1-0) will face the sixth-place Vancouver North West Hawks (7-11-0-0) in North Vancouver. Meanwhile, the fifth-place Valley West Giants (7-9-0-3) take on the seventh-place Vancouver North East Chiefs (5-9-1-1) in Delta and Burnaby with a five-point margin between them in the U15 standings.
