BCEHL WEEKEND UPDATE - MARCH 12-13

For Immediate Release

March 11, 2022

Saanichton, B.C. –  The BCEHL regular season wraps up this weekend as the U17 AAA and U15 AAA teams play their final games. After this weekend, the playoff positioning will be set. The U17 AAA Fraser Valley Thunderbirds will look to finish top of the league as they sit just two points behind the league-leading Vancouver NE Chiefs. In the U15 AAA league the South Island Royals will look to move up to seventh in the league and improve their playoff positioning. Let's take a look at the final regular season games of the year!

U17 AAA

The U17 AAA regular season comes to an end this weekend and the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds are in need of three points to finish atop of the league and claim first seed in the playoffs. They come into the weekend on the back of 11-straight wins. They will play two games against the Okanagan Rockets, who are locked in to the league's sixth position. Thunderbirds' forwards Justin Brar (58 points), and Marco Oliviero (57 points), are within touching distance of Levi Green (63 points), who leads the regular season scoring race. In the other matchups the Cariboo Cougars will take on the Vancouver NW Hawks and the South Island Royals will battle the Thompson Blazers.
