BCEHL WEEKEND UPDATE - NOVEMBER 22nd - 24th

Saanichton, B.C. - All four leagues are set to hit the ice this weekend, with the U18 league's first showcase of the season taking place in Abbotsford. Here's what's happening in the BCEHL this week.

 

Female U18 AAA 

In the lone matchup in the Female U18 league, the first-place Greater Vancouver Comets (17-1-0-0) will travel to Prince George to face the second-place Northern Capitals (6-5-0-1). These squads have met each other three times this season with the Comets winning each game so far.

Saturday's Female U18 Game:

Greater Vancouver Comets @ Northern Capitals - 6:00 p.m. - Kin Centre

Sunday's Female U18 Game:

Greater Vancouver Comets @ Northern Capitals - 10:00 a.m. - Kin Centre

   

U18 AAA

The first showcase of the season in the U18 league is set to begin Friday as all eight teams meet up in Abbotsford. The Valley West Giants (9-3-0-1) and the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds (9-3-0-1) are tied for second-place, and will square off on Saturday in the weekend's marquee matchup.

Friday's U18 Game:

Vancouver North East Chiefs vs. Fraser Valley Thunderbirds - 7:15 p.m. - Abbotsford Centre

Saturday's U18 Games:

All games played at Abbotsford Centre

Cariboo Cougars vs. Greater Vancouver Canadians - 10:30 a.m.

Fraser Valley Thunderbirds vs. Valley West Giants - 1:15 p.m.

Okanagan Rockets vs. Thompson Blazers - 4:00 p.m.

Vancouver North West Hawks vs. Vancouver North East Chiefs - 6:45 p.m.

Sunday's U18 Games:

All games played at Abbotsford Centre

Thompson Blazers vs. Cariboo Cougars - 9:30 a.m.

Valley West Giants vs. Okanagan Rockets - 12:15 p.m.

Greater Vancouver Canadians vs. Vancouver North West Hawks - 3:00 p.m.

 

U17 AAA

The battle for the top spot in the U17 league heats up this weekend as the Valley West Giants (10-4-1-1) and Vancouver North East Chiefs (10-4-1-1) go head-to-head. The teams are tied for third place and a mere two points behind the first-place Okanagan Rockets (12-2-0-0). This is the first time these squads have faced each other this season.

U15 AAA

After a league-wide bye week, the first-place Okanagan Rockets (10-2-0-0), who have won five of their last six games, battle the fourth-place Valley West Giants (6-5-0-2) in Kelowna. The fifth-place Cariboo Cougars (6-4-0-0) will host the seventh-place Vancouver North West Hawks (4-7-0-0), who won the Flight 2 Championship at the Pat Quinn Classic U15 Elite Invitational Tournament this past weekend.
