Saanichton, B.C. - The first Female U18 showcase of the season highlights another busy weekend around the BCEHL. Let's take a look at what else to keep an eye on!

 

Female U18 AAA

Female U18 AAA Featured Matchup: The Fraser Valley Rush and Northern Capitals open up their seasons when they take the ice at the Surrey Sport and Leisure Centre on Friday night. Rush goaltender Rebecca Noble posted five victories across five starts against the Capitals last season, which included a shutout in a 5-0 Fraser Valley win on January 15. Capitals' returning forward Abby Bryant will look to build on the 2022-23 season, where she led the team in scoring with 19 points (8g-11a).

U18 AAA

U18 AAA Featured Series: In a battle of two undefeated squads, the Cariboo Cougars (2-0-0-0) welcome the Valley West Giants (2-0-0-0) for a pair of games. Both squads had identical records last season (15-18-1-2) and split their four-game season series. Cougars' forward Isaiah Bagri is off to a hot start this season with seven points (3g-4a) in his first two games, while Landon Jassman (2g-2a) and Coltan White (3g-1a) lead the Giants with four points each.

U17 AAA Featured Series: On the Island, the third-place Fraser Valley Thunderbirds (1-0-1-0) and the eighth-place Vancouver Island Royals (0-3-0-1) take the ice in Parksville. The Fraser Valley trio of Anthony Drover (1g-2a), Ryley Green (1g-2a) and Phoenix Hinks (1g-2a) have all started off the season with three points in their first two games, while forward Khayam Siah leads the Royals with four points (2g-2a) in his first four games.

U15 AAA Featured Matchup: In a rematch of last year's BCEHL U15 Championship Final, the fourth-place Okanagan Rockets (3-1-0-2) visit the eighth-place Greater Vancouver Canadians (1-3-0-0). Rockets' forward Von Lakovic has started the season on the right foot, with seven points (5g-2a) in six games. Canadians' forward William Trolland leads his squad with seven points (2g-5a) through four games.
