Saanichton, B.C. Hockey Canada announced today that the British Columbia Elite Hockey League’s (BCEHL) Fraser Valley Thunderbirds have been chosen to host the Canadian U18 AAA TELUS Cup Club Championship in 2025. 

The TELUS Cup is held annually and sees the top teams from across the country battle it out for Canada's U18 National Championship. 

"The TELUS Cup is a signature event that showcases the skill and dedication of the young athletes who are fortunate enough to reach the tournament, and the honour of hosting highlights our region's passion for the sport," Fraser Valley General Manager Troy Stordy said, "We are committed to providing an exceptional experience for players, coaches, and fans alike, and we look forward to creating unforgettable memories during the championship".

The TELUS Cup tournament is comprised of five regional champions from across Canada as well as the host Fraser Valley Thunderbirds. In total, 19 games are played over the six-day tournament to crown a National Champion. 

"We would like to thank Hockey Canada for selecting the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds to host the 2025 TELUS Cup," BCEHL Commissioner Fred Zweep said, “Hosting this event speaks volumes about the program the Thunderbirds have built, along with the level of hockey being played within the BCEHL. We look forward to welcoming all participants, parents, and scouts to the Fraser Valley in the spring of 2025, and providing an incredible backdrop to this prestigious tournament.”
