Call For 2018 Male Program of Excellence Event Team Staff

BC Hockey announced that staff applications are now available in the Male Program of Excellence (POE) for the 2018-2019 season.  Applications are being accepted for the U15 Provincial Tournament and the U16 BC Cup.

Positions for the Male POE events are as follows:

2018 U16 BC Cup – April 19 – 22, 2018 – Salmon Arm, BC

Head Coach (8)


Assistant Coach (16)

Equipment Manager/Athletic Therapist (8)

2018 U15 Provincial Tournament – May 10-13, 2018 – Penticton, BC

Head Coach (8)


Assistant Coach (16)

Equipment Manager/Athletic Therapist (8)

Applicants are asked to include the following when submitting the online staff application form:

  • Qualifications (HCSP/Development 1/Respect in Sport, etc.)

The selection committee for Male POE positions will consist of the Male POE Coordinator and the BC Hockey Chief Executive Officer or designate.

The BC Hockey Male POE exposes players, coaches and officials to short term competition.  Through player development, identification, inclusion, information translation and progression, athletes are prepared for the next stage.  The BC Hockey Male POE acts as a precursor to the Hockey Canada POE, which is used to identify and train players and team personnel for regional and national teams.
